SMART Goal Templates

Most goals fail at the phrasing stage — too vague to act on, too open-ended to finish. This collection gathers AFFiNE's free SMART goal templates: worksheets and planners that walk each goal through Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound before it goes on your list.

Each template turns the framework into prompts: duplicate a layout, write the goal as you first think of it, and let the sections sharpen it into something with a number and a deadline. Reflection sections keep the goal alive after week one.

FAQ

What is a SMART goal?

A goal that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound — "run a 10K under 60 minutes by June 1" rather than "get fit." Each criterion removes one classic failure mode, from vagueness to missing deadlines.

How do I write a SMART goal?

Start with the vague version, then interrogate it: what exactly (specific), what number proves progress (measurable), does the calendar allow it (achievable), why this goal now (relevant), and by when (time-bound). The worksheets here run that interrogation for you.

How many goals should I track at once?

Two or three — each goal needs weekly review to survive, and review time is the real constraint. The templates include a reflection cadence because written goals without reviews are just wishes with formatting.
